04-July-2012: Toyota Avanza will look to replicate the success of Toyota Innova and Toyota Fortuner. The company is going all out and not afraid of playing with fire. The company plans to hit the market with yet another SUV or we must say the Innovative International Multi-purpose Vehicle (IMV) segment in India. The Toyota Avanza IMV is already up on the roads in Thailand and going great guns. The Toyota Avanza will fit the below the Toyota Innova and will be cheaper by 25 per cent than the Toyota Innova. This means Toyota will enter the entry level SUV market where most of the battle for the top spot in 2012 is taking place with the likes of Chevrolet Tavera and Mahindra Xylo, Mahindra XUV500, Tata Safari Storme etc. The launch of the Toyota Avanza in India has also been confirmed by a senior official of the Japanese auto major. The Avanza will be highly practical and be a people mover and not another SUV like the Toyota Innova in India.

Toyota Avanza will launch in India by the end of September 2011, exact dates are still not confirmed.  This will be come in the international Multi-Purpose Vehicle (IMV) segment. Company is planning to keep the price tag low and will be sold as cheaper alternative of Toyota Innova. Toyota Avanza is an upcoming model of Toyota in Indian market. It will be a mini-Innova from Toyota for Indian customers, the shape of the car looks like MUV and SUV too.

Toyota Avanza was first went for sale in Thailand and got good responses from customers. It will be smaller than the Toyota Innova which will give ease of driving in traffic jams. It is expected to be 20-25% cheaper than its bigger sibling. The Company has unveiled petrol version of Toyota Avanza but there are rumours that it is also planning to launch diesel version. It will be a third vehicle to its IMV (Innovative International Multi-purpose Vehicle) line-up in the country after Toyota Innova and Toyota Fortuner.

Toyota Avanza Engine: Toyota Avanza will come with 1.5 litre well refined diesel engine that will generate the power of 107 bhp at 6000 rpm and torque 141 Nm at 4400 rpm. This multi-purpose vehicle will come with VVT-i technology that will improve the overall performance and efficiency.  The exterior look of the Toyota Avanza will be little smaller and bulky than Innova. This vehicle is already running successfully in Thailand and company is expecting t repeat the same story in Indian market.

Toyota Avanza Interiors: Toyota Avanza interiors will be more sophisticated and attractive. The interior space will be enough for 5 peoples and seats will provide good support for long journey as well. The other features of Toyota Avanza will be integrated Audio system, huge storage space, airbags, front seat armrest, power windows, manual seat adjusting and more. Toyota Avanza will come with 5 and 7 door options. It will be a five or seven seater. It is anticipated to give enormous space for driver and occupants. The dashboard of this SUV is will be covered with instrumental panel. The two tone beige with quality seats is also expected in this SUV. You will not get audio control option on the four spoke steering. The luggage box gives sufficient room to carry your luggage. The other interior features like rear door lock, power windows, manual seat adjusting, air conditioner, manual viper control system with timer and electronic adjustable rear view mirrors is guessed to be excellent. Overall it will suit for families and business people.

Toyota Avanza Exteriors: Toyota Avanza is expected to come with stylish exterior design. The curves and sharp line on its body adds beauty for the car. Head and fog lamps look sporty. It looks very similar to Toyota Innova from front side. It comes with six spoke 15 inch alloy wheels. The 180mm of ground clearance will make you comfort even in bumpy roads. The smartly designed indicators and body colored bumpers looks elegant. Overall the exterior of Toyota Avanza will be cleverly designed to meet up typical Indian taste.

Toyota Avanza Safety Features: Toyota Avanza will be loaded with modern safety features like ABS with EBD, Air bags, Seat belts for all passengers, side bar protection, crash body safety, Thief Deterrent system etc. The price tag has not yet revealed but it is expected in between 5-8 lakh in Indian market. It will give an overall mileage of 14 kilometres per litre.

Toyota Avanza Features- Toyota Avanza is expected to be loaded with some advanced features like Leather Seats, Power Window, Power Steering, Air Conditioner, CD player / MP3 Player, AM/FM Radio, Power Doors Locks, Body Color Bumper, Rear Wiper, Printed Glass Antenna, Roof Antenna and Wheel Covers etc in Indian market.
 
Toyota Avanza Maintenance Cost: The maintenance cost of the Toyota Avanza will be inexpensive.
