06-Dec-2011: The Skoda Yeti is a sleek, stylish and a car full of unexpected things. The Skoda Yeti is not much alien from the original Yeti concept, seen at Geneva in 2005. The practical version of the car comes with five doors and a simpler front end, with a traditional Skoda grille and spotlights. The car measures 4.2 metre long with an eye catchy front end, ribbed grille and friendly looking headlamps. The initial version of the Skoda Yeti was available in two avatars namely the Ambiente and Elegance. Poor performances however have made the company to release a new 4x2 variant which is powered by a 1968cc diesel engine. The car delivers a maximum power of 110 bhp with maximum torque of 250 nm. This makes the Yeti available in four variants that is the Active 4x2, Ambition 4x2 (name changed from Ambiente), Ambition 4x4 and Elegance 4x4.

Skoda Yeti is the first MUV of Skoda in India. It is a  award winning European car. It was launched in november 2010 and company is still getting an outstanding response from its customers. It is a powerful SUV competing with the models like Hyundai Santa Fe, Mahindra Scorpio,Tata Safari, Tata Aria, Maruti Grand Vitara, Ford Endeavour, Toyota Fortuner and Mitsubishi Outlander in domestic market.
