06-Dec-2011: The Renault Fluence is the first babe from the house of Renault in the Indian market. The car is also the first after the nuptial breakup of the Renault and Mahindra. Renault Fluence is the all new sedan from Renault in Indian market. The French car manufacturer Renault has formally launched Renault Fluence on May23, 2011. This new sedan will be available in two models, according to an officially report Renault Fluence will be available in both petrol and diesel options in India. The interior and exterior design of the Renault Fluence is specially fashioned to meet up typical Asian taste; this all new sedan falls in C-segment. The Company Chennai Facility has taken the responsibility to manufacture Renault Fluence. Renault along with its global alliance Nissan has committed an investment of Rs 4,500 crore by 2015 at Chennai facility, which will have a total production capacity of 4 lakh units per annum. The Company is also planning to establish a new plant in Chennai to increase its production in India. Renault Fluent will go sale around the globe including countries like Turkey, Russia, Romania, the Mediterranean Basin, Australia, the Middle East and Europe.

Renault Fluence Engine: Renault Fluence will be available in both petrol and diesel variants in India. The Petrol variant of the Renault Fluence comes with a powerful 2.0 litre engine with Advanced CVT II transmission including 6 speed gear and Manual Mode. The Petrol variant of this sedan has capacity to churn out utmost power of 101 kW at 6000 rpm / 137 PS at 6000 rpm and maximum torque of 190 Nm @ 3700 rpm. Whereas the diesel option is loaded with well refined 1.5 litre engine, Manual Type transmission with 6+1 gear. The diesel variant of Renault Fluence is capable to produce maximum power of 78 kW at 4000 rpm / 106 PS at 4000 rpm and peak torque of 240 Nm at 2000 rpm. Overall both the petrol and diesel engine is expected to churn good power and excellent torque to compete with the sedans like Volkswagen Jetta, Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, and Skoda Laura in domestic market.
