Mitsubishi Outlander
Mitsubishi Outlander is the ultimate sports utility vehicle available in its prescribed segment. This awesome performer is absolute worth of money put on it. Mitsubishi Outlander user would feel the punch of driving it. Created with care and detail, Mitsubishi Outlander makes its debut with sparkling styling, unblemished performance, and creative engineering. The five-seater SUV boasts of a classy and spacious cabin loaded with luxurious features.
Mitsubishi Outlander Engine: Mitsubishi Outlander is available only in a Base petrol variant. It is endowed with a 2.4L MIVEC (Mitsubishi Innovative Valve-timing Electronic Control) I4 engine that delivers 168 bhp of power and comes with both 2WD and 4WD with the turn of a switch. The gearbox offered is a 6-speed INVECS-III CVT with a 6-speed manual mode. The six pre-selected gear ratios can be controlled through paddle shifters mounted on the steering wheel. The downside is that the engine sounds trashy when you go past 4000rpm. Mitsubishi Outlander is India’s first BS IV Certified SUV.
Mitsubishi Outlander Exteriors: Compared to its immediate rival the Honda CR-V, Mitsubishi Outlander is pretty much on the conventional side which is not a bad thing at all. From the outside, Mitsubishi Outlander is a very good-looking SUV, with sporty lines and nicely moulded lighting. The front has a prominent skid plate coming up from underneath, indicating a good approach angle for off-roading. The bumper bisects the grille’s honeycombed top and bottom to give it a strong performance look. The prominent wheel arches are pretty common these days, but the clearance inside the wheel wells suggest the Mitsubishi Outlander is ready for bigger wheels. It’s only the D-pillar which looks a little awkward since it’s a little against the flow of the design.
Mitsubishi Outlander Interiors: Mitsubishi outlander interior is also well taken care of with an array of comfort and convenience features. A customized 650-watt Rockford Fosgate Music System and well designed sporty instrument cluster with stylish red LCD read-outs and multi information switch highlight the dashboard. Seats are wrapped in plush beige leather. Driver’s seat in Mitsubishi Outlander has 4-way electric adjust function and can be folded fully flat. Rear seats have one touch tumble type function which means that it’s extremely easy to fold them to make more space for luggage. The rear seat centre armrest comes with cup holders. Convenience features include anti-pinch power windows, automatic door locking system, automatic headlamp turn off feature, cruise control, and paddle shifters on the steering wheel that makes gear shifts absolutely effortless. With Keyless Operation System (KOS), doors can be opened just by touching the door handles and engine can be started remotely without the key. The split tailgate is extremely useful and one of the most practical bits of this car.
Mitsubishi Outlander Ride and Handling: Mitsubishi Outlander is based on Mitsubishi’s GS platform which currently does duty on the Lancer and the EVO X, clearly explains the carlike feel of the Outlander. It also comes with an aluminium roof to reduce the car’s centre of gravity and also to reduce its weight as well. This Mitsubishi Outlander comes with a fully independent suspension system with McPherson struts at the front and a multi-link setup at the rear giving the Outlander the agility of most sporty sedans. Steering feels light around town but weighs up nicely providing ample feedback on high speed. There is hardly anybody roll with mild under steer stepping in at the limits. Ride quality feels nice and composed around town with the suspension soaking up bumps with ease although ride is slightly on the firm side. Mitsubishi Outlander can easily tackle the biggest of speed breakers and monsoon ravaged roads with utmost ease but a Pajero it is not and off-roading requires a handle-with-care approach.
Mitsubishi Outlander Safety Features: Mitsubishi Motors has packed a decent amount of safety features into the Mitsubishi Outlander. The SUV gets a tough RISE (Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution) body construction. Front dual stage driver & passenger airbags come standard. An Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake force Distribution technology (EBD) ensures a safe and stable ride. Engine immobilizer system and security alarms keep the SUV from being stolen. The Mitsubishi Outlander safety features like Central Locking, ABS (Antilock Braking System), Engine Immobilizer, Airbags, Remote Keyless Entry, Anti-theft Alarm, Child Safety Door Locks, Front/Rear Seatbelts, Collapsible Steering, and Crumple Zones are really excellent.
Mitsubishi Outlander Fuel Economy: With the 2.4L MIVEC Petrol engine, the Mitsubishi Outlander gives a mileage of 8 kmpl in town and around 11 kmpl on Highway and we can’t expect more from this mammoth.
Mitsubishi Outlander Models: Mitsubishi Outlander comes in only one variant that is 2.4L MIVEC I-4 Petrol engine.
Mitsubishi Outlander Maintenance Cost: the Mitsubishi Outlander maintenance is very cheap but yet complicated. Because you will find the spare parts of it in only metropolitan cities like Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi and etc. The problem is you will not find Mitsubishi Outlander’s spare parts in small towns. Apart from this the service cost will be cheap you may need to spend 8-11 per year for general service. The tyres quality you may need to change it after 1 lakh km of mileage.
Mitsubishi Outlander Ex-Showroom Price Tag: Mitsubishi has come up with the concept of “One country, one price". Mitsubishi Outlander comes for an Ex-Showroom price of Rs. 20, 69,000.
Mitsubishi Outlander Colors: The Mitsubishi Outlander is available in 7 excellent looking shades- River Blue, Silver Dew, Cascade White, Sunrise Yellow, Pasture Green, New Moon Black and Twilight Red
