02-July-2012: Mahindra Mini Xylo has finally been caught during the test rounds and this time its for real. Yes it is also slated to get launched this fiscal, said Arun Malhotra, senior vice-president, sales and customer care. The Mini Xylo could be a five seater and possibly come with a third row making space for two more people. The wheels are smaller and the boot space will look to compete with the likes of hatchbacks and could be looked upon as an alternative to boring hatchbacks and people who are looking for a bit of adventure as well.

Mahindra Mini Xylo: Mahindra Mini Xylo is all set to carry on the hysteria of the Mahindra XUV 500. The Mahindra XUV 500 created the space for a new breed of SUV’s in the price range of 10 to 14 lakhs and the new Mahindra Mini Xylo price starting at 4 to 5 lakhs is expected to create the same feat. The Mahindra Mini Xylo is expected to see the light of the day in the 2012 Auto Expo in Delhi. Mahindra Mini Xylo will be the more sleeky and trimmed down avatar of the Mahindra Xylo in terms of the overall size and the engine. The Mini Xylo will be a 5-seater expected to be equipped with a 1.1498 cc 3-cylinder CRDI engine. The main trump card will be the Mahindra Mini Xylo Price advantage in comparison to the premium hatchbacks and the sedans and target consumers who are looking for a small family car and at the same time not negate the fun element.

Mahindra Mini Xylo Engine: Mahindra Mini Xylo engine specifications are still being kept under the wraps. However seeing the market positioning of the vehicle and price range, Mahindra Mini Xylo is expected to come with a 1498cc and a 5 Speed manual transmission for a smooth handling and driving experience. The in-line type engine with 3 cylinders will be equipped with a CRDi fuel injection mechanism. Mahindra Mini Xylo Specifications like the power generation and the torque distribution are yet to be known. However one can expect that Mahindra will surely live up to its reputation and will yet again come out with flying colours with a perfect all-terrain hatchback vehicle.

Mahindra Mini Xylo Exteriors: One of the most striking features in an MUV (Multi Utility Vehicle) is the outside look of the vehicle and the Mahindra Mini Xylo has sure got all the ingredients of a being a show stopper. The pricing of the Mahindra Mini Xylo is however expected to keep the features to the most essential ones and this could mean the absence of some luxury features as well. The Mahindra Mini Xylo will however be adorned with some chick features like door pads with leather interiors, chromed inner door handles, sporty cockpit, Leather wrapped Gear, drive selection and parking brake levers, wood print panels, multimeter, dual tone leather upholstery.

Mahindra Mini Xylo Ride and Handling: Mahindra Mini Xylo will come with a host of drive comforts to make your journey smoother. The car will be equipped with fog lights to help you drive in the worst of light conditions. Mahindra Mini Xylo will also be equipped with an engine immobilizer to prevent any un warranted entry into the car. The car will also have crumple zones to protect the occupants in the event of a collision. Mahindra Mini Xylo will have anti roll bars on the suspension at the front axels. It will also have head rest at the front and the rear making even the long escapades look like a short trip. Mahindra Mini Xylo is also expected to be fitted with adjustable seat belts at the front and seat belt warning system making it a good foil for the perfect driving experience.

Mahindra Mini Xylo Specifications: The Mahindra Mini Xylo Specifications reveal that the car easily accommodates five people. The Mahindra Mini Xylo Specifications with regard to the engine come with a 1.1498 cc 3-cylinder and the advanced CRDI engine. Like the Mahindra XUV500 the Mahindra Mini Xylo specifications is also expected to create a new space for itself with a never before price range of Rs. 5 lakh for the base variant and go a little over the Rs 6 lakh margin for the top end models. Mahindra Mini Xylo Ex- show room Price: The Mahindra Mini Xylo Price is cheaper compared to the Xylo but it is expected to be the same quality of the Mahindra Xylo standard. However, the mini avatar will be a bit trimmed in terms of the high-end luxurious features to bring down the Mahindra Mini Xylo Price around Rs. 5 lakh in comparison with its standard Mahindra Mini Xylo Price which is Rs. 7 lakh plus.

Mahindra Mini Xylo Mileage: On the lines of the Standard Mahindra Xylo, the Mahindra Mini Xylo will also be equipped with the same five Speed gear mechanism which offers soft and quick shifting of gears. The highly robust engine of Mahindra Mini Xylo will give a mileage of 10 kmpl in the city and 15 kmpl for the long escapades.

Mahindra Mini Xylo Safety Features: The Mahindra Mini Xylo is nothing likes its name and goes mega on the safety aspect with a range of passive and active safety features. The Mahindra Mini Xylo like the Xylo will be equipped with ABS (Anti Lock Braking System, Driver Airbag and Passenger airbag, big sized tyres to keep you on the road even in the toughest of terrains.

Mahindra Mini Xylo Competitors: The Mahindra Mini Xylo as such will not have any competitors and in fact will be first of its kind SUV. However the low price is expected to compete with Premier Rio which however has not been doing well. It is also expected to compete with likes of Maruti Suzuki Swift and Hyundai i20. It can also give the Tata Manza Sedan a run for its money.
