Hyundai i20 carries forward the legacy of the much famed Getz in the supermini - subcompact car segment. Hyundai i20 Engine

The Hyundai i20 engine comes with the choice of both Petrol and Diesel engines. The 1.2L Kappa Petrol Engine offers a displacement of 1197 cc. The maximum power offered by the engine is around 80 ps at 5200 rpm and the torque is 11.4 Kgm at 4000 rpm. The 1.4 CRDi Diesel Engine has a 1396 cc. The maximum power offered by the engine is around 90 ps at 4000 rpm and the torque is 22.4 Kgm at 2750 rpm. The 1.4L Gamma Engine with Automatic Transmission with a 1396cc delivers a maximum power of 100 PS at 5500 rpm and the torque is 13.9 Kgm at 4200 rpm.

The ride is pretty well cushioned and mostly comfortable, untroubled by minor undulations although subject to quite a sharp thump if you drop a wheel into one of the more severe potholes that pockmark so many roads. The Hyundai i20 is neither defective nor exciting in how it drives - it's thoroughly average. The diesel’s a grumbly enough thing at idle, though you hear it less once you’re at speed.
