Honda has plumed up its rear end and edited the side panels. Honda wanted the new model to be instantly recognizable as a Civic and the Civic is undoubtedly a Civic, but its exterior is bland. The 2012 Civic gets all-new exterior styling that adds some visual flash and makes the compact look more like the midsize Accord. The exterior of the Honda Civic model is aggressively styled; the sweeping front arc is maintained and a Perspex cover resembling a lamp cluster replaces the grille.

Honda Civic 2012 Ride and Handling
The main objective when designing the Honda Civic 2012 was to provide a very rigid body to give the suspension a good base to work for. This allows for maximum comfort to provide an agile comfort. Power-steering assist is on the low side, so parking lot maneuvers take some extra effort. But the Civic moves adeptly on curvy roads; its confident steering makes it easy to get back on track when the nose pushes wide. The ride is pretty wobbly around the town, but it smoothes out with speed. Honda has lengthened the car’s wheelbase and re-engineered the suspension to improve both the ride and handling against the outgoing model. It is sharp to drive and offers a high level of comfort. On the flip side the ride is choppy and road noise is still pronounced.
