Ford Endeavour Engine

 

Ford Endeavour engine is available in three variants. The base such as 4x2 XLT model is equipped with a 2.5-litre TDCi with Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT) that generates a power of 141 bhp and renders 330 Nm worth of torque, whereas the Thunder+ and 4X2 AT are powered by a 3.0-litre TDCi with Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT) diesel engine that churns out 154 bhp.
The limited Hurricane edition is 3.0 L with a 2953 cc that powers up to 156 PS at 3200 rpm with a torque of 380 Nm at 2500 rpm with five speed auto gear.

The Ford Endeavour is inspired from the ladder chassis design, with independent double wishbones, torsion and stabilizer bar at the front and at the rear you get leaf springs. The high end variant gets four- wheel drive, a low range gearbox, Limited Slip Differential at the rear axle and a lockable central differential. This means the car can withstand that comes in its way. With its 210mm of ground clearance, handling is a bit of let down and also the large size means you have to be careful while cutting the corners. The amount of body roll and ride quality is a bit harsh. However this comes as no surprise because of its pickup truck size proportion. The 2.5 liter engine serves well and the diesel power also makes it one hell of a ride.

Mahindra XUV500 vs Ford Endeavour: The exteriors of Mahindra XUV500 are inspired from Cheetah. The styling of this car is much better than Ford Endeavour, but not as sturdy as the Endeavour. Mahindra XUV500 is quite cheaper compared to Ford Endeavour.

 

Ford Endeavour vs Toyota Fortuner: The Fortuner like the Innova is like a car to drive and it has also got the more powerful engine. The Ford Endeavour has more space, but the Fortuner is more comfortable. In terms of the price, the Fortuner may lose out, but it is the worth the extra money.
