The Fiat Linea 2012 has fully refreshed interiors with new interior theme colours and an all new exterior colour with the Oceanic Blue. The instrument cluster dials will now be black, and so will be the center console. While the seats are firm, the steering wheel is nice to grip. It's good to see steering-mounted controls for the music system (which is not bad in terms of sound quality) as well as the trip computer. The new Linea luxury diesel version provides nothing less than leather seats with chrome interiors and 16” alloy wheels.

Fiat Linea 2012 Engine

Fiat Linea arrives with a 1.4L FIRE engine producing 90 PS power and 115 Nm torque for petrol preference, whereas the diesel  Linea hits with a 1.3L Multijet producing 93 PS power and 209 Nm torque. Both petrol and diesel blocks are available and a turbocharged petrol engine is also being offered. The Linea is built tough and makes a solid overall package.

Fiat Linea 2012 Safety Features

The safety features in the car include side as well as curtain air bags, smart-2 system for air bag along with front racked seat belts. The FPS system in the car also ensures that fuel flow in the engine is prevented during time of strokes. Other safety features include antilock brake system, fog lights and EBD. Fiat Linea is fully loaded with active and passive safety features. The active features, providing safety to the occupants, include Antilock Braking System (ABS).

Both the petrol and diesel cars come with five speed manual gear transmission. The front suspensions are Front Independent Wheel, Helical Coil Springs with Double Acting Telescopic Dampers and Stabiliser Bar type. The Rear suspensions are Torsion Beam, Helical Coil Springs with Double Acting Telescopic Dampers and Stabiliser Bar type. The tyres are tubeless. The overall length of the car 4560mm, width is 1730 mm, height is 1487mm, wheel base is 2603 mm, the Boot Capacity is (ltr) 500, and fuel tank capacity is 45 ltr, with a turning radius of 5.4 m. The petrol vehicle has a kerb weight of 1180 while the diesel weighs 1210 kgs.

Fiat Linea Active: The base variant comes without airbags, ABS, EBD, Front Seat Armrest, electrically adjustable outside rear view mirror and few more accessories.

Fiat Linea Dynamic: It comes with few more features like Driver Seat height adjust, electrically adjustable outside rear view mirror, night panel in roof lights, rear roof light, and foldable desmodronic key.

Fiat Linea T Jet Plus: This top end variant shares all the features of the basic 1.4L, T Jet along with some added features like Premium Imported Leather Upholstery, 16 inch alloy wheels, 205/55 R16, highest ground clearance, etc.
