BMW 5 Series comes in 3 diesel and 2 petrol engine options. The 520d delivers a top power of 130 kW at 4000 rpm and peak torque of 350 Nm at 1750-3000 rpm. The BMW 5 Series 530i variant comes produces a maximum power of 190 kW at 6500 rpm and utmost torque of 300Nm at 2400rpm. The BMW 5 Series 525i variant is capable to churn out the top power of 158 KW at 6500 rpm and peak torque of 246 Nm at 4000rpm. The rest of the models BMW 530d Highline and 530d churns out the power of 173 kW at 4000 rpm and topmost torque of 500 Nm at 1750-3000 rpm in Indian market. The hood is a design feature shared with the current 6 and 3-Series, a look enhanced by the creases coming across the hood. The front seats seem very sporty but it is the back seats that truly deserve the attention which has an increased rear knee room by .5 inches. The current generation model has been made more sedate and the driving dynamics has been toned down a bit making it a more comfortable luxury sedan as compared to the previous models. The new BMW 5 Series is also the first BMW to get the company's new Park Assist tech, slotting the car into a space by twiddling the wheel, leaving the driver to operate on the accelerator and brake pedals. Ride quality and refinement has improved massively and overall the handling is still class-leading.
